The Akron duo’s fourteenth studio album, recorded with the musicians playing live in the same room with minimal overdubs, and mixed entirely by the band for the first time since 2006’s Magic Potion. Peaches! is a raw, direct ten-song album, shaped by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney’s deep record-collecting instincts and the high-energy vintage 45s that have fed into their Record Hang DJ-set parties. Described by Auerbach as the band’s “most natural record” since their 2002 debut The Big Come Up, the album keeps the performances close and unfussy, with the live-room recording approach giving the songs a stripped-back immediacy.
