STAR BAND DE DAKAR Star Band De Dakar Vol. 5 (Rare 1970s French issue 8-track vinyl LP, fully laminated picture sleeve. One of the pioneering bands in African/Senaglese music, formed in 1960 with many musicians passing through the ranks [AmaraToure, Youssou N’Dour]. It’s a wonderful listen and is noted for its blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms with Senegalese mbalax guitars and sabardrums. The sleeve and vinyl both grade Excellent IK3024)
