STAR BAND DE DAKAR Star Band De Dakar – Vol. 10 (Rare 1980 French issue 6-track vinyl LP, fully laminated picture sleeve. One of the pioneering bands in African/Senaglese music, formed in 1960 with many musicians passing through the ranks [Amara Toure, Youssou N’Dour]. It’s a wonderful listen and is noted for its blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms with Senegalese mbalax guitars and sabardrums. The sleeve is Excellent, the vinyl is a stunning Near Mint SAF3029)
