Description
Sorcerer
4K UHD + Blu-ray Special Edition
Directed by William Friedkin
A hallucinatory journey into the heart of darkness, William Friedkins pulse-pounding reimagining of the suspense classic The Wages of Fear was dismissed upon its release, only to be celebrated decades later as one of the New Hollywood eras boldest auteur achievements. In a remote Latin American village, four desperate fugitivesa New Jersey gangster (Roy Scheider), a Mexican assassin (Francisco Rabal), a corrupt French businessman (Bruno Cremer), and an Arab terrorist (Amidou) are forced into a suicidal mission: transporting trucks packed with volatile nitroglycerin through perilous jungle terrain. Fueled by Tangerine Dreams hypnotic electronic score, Friedkin turns every obstacle into white-knuckle suspense, crafting a hauntingly nihilistic portrait of fate, chance, and human fragility.
