MOTORHEAD Motorhead (Ace Records closed out its 50th anniversary celebrations with a focused run of releases that reflect the label’s core identity, and few titles are as foundational as Motrhead. Originally released in 1977, the band’s debut album is now widely regarded as a cornerstone of heavy metal, capturing Motrhead at their rawest and most uncompromising. Financed at considerable risk by the fledgling Ace Records, the album was produced by Speedy Keen,who captured the band’s ferocity with remarkable immediacy. Tracks such as “Motrhead”, “White Line Fever” and “Keep Us On The Road” established the blueprint for the band’s relentless sound, bridging hard rock, punk urgency and the emerging language of metal. The album has remained continuously in print ever since, a testament to its enduring impact. This Ace 50th anniversary edition is limited to 500 copies and pressed on Silver Vinyl, issued as a direct visual homage to the original first pressing, which featured Joe Petagno’s iconic band logo printed in silver-foil on the front cover.
