Description
HMT began watch production in India in the early 1960s, with manufacturing centered in Bengaluru, and it became the defining Indian mechanical-watch name for decades. HMTs designs were made to be durable, serviceable, and affordable, which put them on countless wrists across the country. Vintage HMT watches are collected for their strong Indian identity, clean dials, and the way they capture a specific era of Indian industrial ambition and everyday middle-class aspiration.
