GENTLE GIANT Octopus (Mid 70s UK spaceship label issue of the 1972 8-track LP, complete with lyric inner, the formidable fourth album which marked the last involvement of eldest Shulman brother Phil, & the first outing for third drummer John Weathers, who stayed with the band thereafter. Engineered by Martin Rushent [T-Rex, Yes, Buzzcocks, Stranglers], this is a cult classic among prog fans, including the brain-melting complexity of Knots, full of interlocking vocal harmonies wedded to bold symphonic rock sounds. The matte gatefold picture sleeve shows a fair degree of shelfwear with a split to the top, whilst the vinyl remains in Very Good condition with quite a few faint hairlines to show for over fifty years)
