ETOILE DE DAKAR Thiapathioly (Rare 1981 French 6-track vinyl LP on a red label, fully laminated picture sleeve. Essential African/Sengalese longplayer featuring Youssou N’Dour; mixes Mbalax [a style of urban dance music originating in West Africa in the ’70s] with latin flavours, special mention for ‘Footaane’ an almost jazz-fusion-eque workout. The sleeve is graded Very Good with only parts of the laminate still in place, the opening edge shows wear and some light creasing. The vinyl also grades Very Good with some visible hairlines not affecting play MCA302)
