A landmark live recording from one of soul music’s most visionary voices, Curtis/Live! captures Curtis Mayfield at his creative peakduring an intimate performance at New York’s Bitter End club in early 1971. Recorded shortly after his departure from The Impressions, the set blends political consciousness, raw soul energy, and sublime musicianship – with Mayfield addressing social issues of the era between passionate renditions of his most enduring songs. Backed by Craig McMullen (guitar), Joseph “Lucky” Scott (bass), Tyrone McCullen (drums), and Master Henry Gibson (percussion), this 2LP reissue has been beautifully remastered to honour one of soul’s most influential live albums.
