Written by Andy Gill and Jon King andproduced by Gill, the album was viewed as a striking return to form, pairing sharp rhythmic minimalism with pointed lyrical themes. Several tracks from the record were featured in Peter Hall’s film Delinquent, while “I Parade Myself” became along-standing live favourite.
