(Exceptionally hard-to-find original 2007 UK 11-track CD on Ed Sheeran’s own Sheeran Lock label – issued years before his major-label breakthrough, back when he was still personally running his mail-order operation and sending these out himself. This is the first time we’ve ever had a copy, and given how few were made, it’s a real rarity. Although long overshadowed by his later chart-topping catalogue, this early independent release captures the raw charm andinstinctive songwriting that would eventually resonate worldwide. Tracks like You Break Me, You Need A Haircut and Smile offer a fascinating glimpse of a young artist still shaping the sound that would define his career. Housed in its original barcoded digipak, the sleeve is in superb shape with minimal wear, and the disc remains in mint condition. Like all of Ed’s pre-‘+’ titles, it was never issued on streaming and is notoriously difficult to track down – a rare chance to own a genuine piece of Sheeran’s early history)
