24 Frames [Blu Ray] [The Criterion Collection] [Arrives in 30 Days]

Description

24 Frames (Blu-ray)

Directed by Abbas Kiarostami

24 Frames is the final film by renowned Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami. In this deeply poetic project, Kiarostami strives to create a dialogue between his filmmaking and photographic work, exploring the quiet moments before and after a still image is captured. Using twenty-four photographsmostly stark, atmospheric landscapes populated only by wildlife he digitally animates each into a four-and-a-half-minute vignette.

The result is a meditative, elegant reflection on image-making, perception, time, and the subtle rhythms of natural life. 24 Frames serves as a graceful and deeply moving farewell from one of world cinemas greatest visionaries.
