Australian trio Martyr Privates haven’t come here to reinvent rock and roll; they’ve come to show us why we fell in love with it in the first place. Buzzing through 9 tracks on their debut LP, the band forms a sonic attack that is forceful, yet also full of subtlety and beauty. There is a joy in the crackle and haze of the blown-out guitar and vocal swirl that you will be hard pressed to find amongst their contemporaries. Produced by Blank Realm’s Luke Walsh and mastered by veter-an sound artist Lawrence English. They proved to be the perfect pair to allow the space required for the creation of their shimmering soundscapes.
