The debut collaborative album from composer Shye Ben Tzur, Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and the Indian ensemble the Rajasthan Express. Recorded in a makeshift studio within the 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, India, the album blends devotional Sufi traditions with orchestral and experimental textures, shaped with the involvement of longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. Widely acclaimed on release, Junun takes its name from an alternate spelling of “junoon,” meaning “mania” or “the madness of love”.
