Curve’s debut album Doppelgnger, first released in 1991 on Dave Stewart’s Anxious label, stands as a landmark of early ’90s alternative music -a bold fusion of industrial-edged electronics, swirling shoegaze guitars, and darkly sensual vocals. Co-produced by Toni Halliday, Dean Garcia, and Flood, the album captures Curve at their creative zenith, balancing dense, distorted textures with pulsing rhythm and melody. Singles such as Horror Head and Fait Accompli cut through the noise with arresting hooks, while deeper tracks like Already Yours and Lillies Dying reveal a haunting beauty beneath the sonic chaos.
